Virgin Galactic hanger completed

SPACE tourism is closer to reality after the completion of an $US8 million ($7.8 million) Mojave Desert production plant where the world’s first fleet of passenger-ready spaceships will be built.

Hundreds of public officials and reporters were invited to tour the giant hangar where the White Knight and SpaceShipTwo craft will be built.

Up to 200 people will work at the assembly plant and it will be used primarily for the final assembly, integration and testing before the aircraft are delivered to customers.

Story of the day – Man jumps fence at the White House

A MAN jumped the north fence at the White House today and ran toward the building before being stopped.

A Secret Service spokesman told FOX News Channel that the man was apprehended by uniformed officers and the backpack he was carrying contained nothing suspicious.

The man was taken to a nearby police station and will be charged with unlawful entry.

A homeless man was arrested last month after a similar incident, in which he scaled the fence of the building.

He was charged with unlawful entry and attempted contempt after violating a stay away order imposed after previous incidents at the White House.
